Minoan/Mycenaean ostrich egg rhyton 16th C. BCE



National Archaeological Museum of Athens: Ostrich egg rhyton from grave V of grave circle A at Mykenae (NAMA 828).

Ostrich-egg rhyta with faience rims and gold bases. One has applied dolphins on the body. These natural eggs were embellished in Minoan Cretan workshops. Graves IV and V. 16th Century BC. National Archaeological Museum of Athens.
